How to choose Cat5e&Cat6? As we kow,Cat5e can only "support" the Giabit the Ethernet while the Cat6 is "truly guaranteed " to make full use of the Gigabit Ethernet.
About Cat5e system 1000Base-T is the standard applied by the Cat5e system during the Gigabit Ethernet transaction, which could run properly on the Cat5 Twist-Pair that meets the standard of ANSI/TIA/EIA-568A (1995).1000Base-T would finish the data transaction by applying to 4 pairs of Cat5 Twist-Pair and each of them is responsible for a 250Mbps data flow. However, as the designed bandwidth is only 100MHz for the Cat5 & Cat5e Twist-Pair, it must satisfy some special requirements to achieve the two-way transmission within the 1000Mbps network. About Cat6 system 1000BASE-Tx is the working style for Cat6 system. Similarly, 1000Base-Tx works on the basis of 4 pairs Twist-Pair; but two of them are for sending while the other two are for receiving(similar to the 100Base-TX, who sends and receives data respectively by two Twist-Pair). Each pair of cables doesn’t conduct a two-way transmission themselves; therefore the crosstalk between cables decreases greatly, along with a relatively simple coding way. Such kind of technology has a lower requirement on the network interface. It doesnt require quite a complicated circuit design thus the cost on network interface is decreased. Whereas, along with the efficiency decrease of the used cables (two for sending and two for receiving), the bandwidth is required to be over 100mhz so as to achieve a 1000mbps transmission speed;i.e. such kind of network is not supported in the Cat5&Cat5e system but will only be supported by the Cat6 system. ..Transmission Mode of Cat5e & Cat6
