The precipitation grade ATH with particle size around 1 micron is the most widely used grade in compounds/ granules for cable application. It mainly mixed with epoxy resin, phenolic resin, unsaturated polyester resin, acrylic resin, polyurethane, polyvinyl chloride, butadiene rubber to get mechanical property. Fine particle size distribution can improve flame retardancy and certain filling, it rise the pressure of the steam to help flane retardant. And super-fine inorganic grain could improve the strength and toughness of the polymers .

This particle size is the most widely used in precipitation alumina trihydarte, and the difference from precipitation ATH is the particle size.
