Is 740 nm visible?

Yes. Compare with 730nm LED, 740nm LED have a longer wavelength. When we light up a 740nm LED, we still can see the light from SMD LED or LED Lamps, it's a dim red color. It won't bright as 635nm LED, but it's visible. 730nm LED and 740nm LED are widely use in kinds of medical application and some LED grow light. With SMD LED case, this LED will have a better heat dispatching performance, so that it will make sure this LED have longer lifespan. On the other hand, dome lens SMD LED have a dome lens on the top, which make it have higher brightness than common flat top SMD LED.
