    • Fiber, either of single-mode or multimode type are positioned in loose tube
    • Material: high-modulus plastic
    • Tubes are filled with water-resistant filling compound
    • Steel wire sometimes sheathed with polyethylene (PE) for cable with high fiber count, locates in center of core as metallic strength member
    • Tubes and fillers are stranded around strength member into compact and circular cable core
    • Aluminum polyethylene laminate (APL) is applied around cable core, which is filled with filling compound to protect it from water-ingress
    • Cable is completed with PE sheath

    • High-strength loose tube that is hydrolysis resistant and special tube filling compound ensure critical protection of fiber
