The main components of transformers are windings, cores, oil tanks, bushings, transformer oils and cooling devices. Because the transformer is often covered with thick iron armor, we can't see its inside, in fact, under the iron armor hides a tightly wound metal coil, these coils (windings) are made of copper wire with insulating cladding (also aluminum wire), coils (windings) are sheathed outside the iron core composed of silicon steel sheets (silicon steel sheets), in order to improve the heat dissipation conditions, these coils (windings) are completely immersed in cooling insulating oil. Transformer oil is used to strengthen the internal insulation strength of the transformer and to dissipate heat. The connection between each winding and the external circuit needs to be led out by an insulating sleeve.
