When there is no ammeter on the car dashboard, you can use an external DC ammeter to detect. First, the generator "armature" then remove the column lead wire, and then the range of about 20A DC ammeter is connected to the motor "armature", the negative lead then remove the connector. When the engine is running at medium speed (no other electrical equipment), the ammeter has 3A ~ 5A charge indication, indicating that the generator is working properly, otherwise the generator does not generate electricity.
