Product description

Product performance

Burn gel dressing is impregnated with a 90% purified water, water-soluble gel. Sterilized by gamma radiation and with a 5-year shelf life, the dressing acts by drawing heat away from the skin surface preventing the heat from progressing deeper into the skin. The burn dressing also helps to relieve pain and protects the surface of the burn against airborne contamination.

Instructions for use

  • For Heat Burns
Apply the burn gel dressing across the burn site. Allow the burn gel dressing to remain in contact with the wound for at least 30 minutes. If necessary secure the dressing in place with a conforming bandage, taking care not to apply too much pressure. Seek medical attention if the burn is severe or covers a large area. The burn gel is soluble and can be rinsed off by saline or sterile water if necessary.
  • For Chemical Burns

If it is a liquid chemical that caused the burn, the skin must be washed with cold water for approximately 15 – 20 minutes. If it is a powder chemical that caused the burn, this must be brushed off, then washed with cold water for approximately 15 – 20 minutes. Then follow the instructions as per the heat burn above.
