1.Purpose and applicable scope SDM-320Y single-phase electronic prepayment watt-hour meter is the new type of watt-hour meter developed by our company that has multi-functions like electricity energy measuring, load control, user information management etc. It is the high-tech product adopting large-scaled integrated circuit technology and advanced microcomputer and IC card technology. This product can be installed in the watt-meter box indoor and outdoor, and is suitable for the environment where the temperature is -30°C~55°C and the relative humidity is not more than 85%. This product meet all technical requirements of GB/T17215-2002 alternating current static watt-hour meters for active energy (classes 1 and 2) and GB/T18460-2001 Pre-payment vending system using integrated circuit(s) cards with contacts.     2.Function features. Pre-payment mode, purchase electricity first and then use electricity. Use encryption card, and the password is unique. Has two classes power shortage alarming function, reminding the user to purchase electricity in time. Automatic power off due to excessive load. Record the number of excessive load, preventing miss over loading when the capacitive load starts. Electricity stealing prevention, automatically record illegal electricity consumption. One meter one card prevents the breakage of fake card. Has the overvoltage protection function. Electricity purchase card automatically write back information regarding the electricity consumption of the user. Principle and structure 4.1 Principle Composed of two function modules. One is electric energy measuring module adopting large-scaled integrated circuit to transfer the voltage and current into impulse that is in vitro ratio to active power, realizing the electric energy measuring, the other is the data processing unit adopting micro processor from American famous manufacturer to finish functions like electric energy measuring, data processing, displaying, reading writing card, load control.      4.2 Structure The shell of the watt-hour meter is composed of four parts: base shell, upper cover, terminal base and terminal cover. The upper cover is sealed, and there is IC card slot on the right side of upper cover. The four digital displays are used to display electricity consumption, alarming information, operation prompt. Display the remaining capacity once every 10 seconds.     5. How to use 5.1 Purchase electricity The user holds the electricity purchase card to the electricity sales department to purchase electricity. The electricity department’s operator writes data, like the capacity purchased by the user, code etc. in the mode of encryption via the special management software and reading and writing card device on the computer. 5.2 Capacity writing in The user inserts the electricity purchase card that has already purchased the capacity in the IC card slot on the watt-hour meter according to the arrow direction (metal touch point is facing left). When the display of watt-hour meter shows F1 and there is sound, pull out the card and keep it. One sound means that what is inserted in is the user card without capacity. Two sounds means that what is inserted in is the user card with capacity. No sound means that what is inserted in is the wrong card or the user card isn’t inserted well. The remaining quantity is the remaining capacity in the watt-hour meter when inserting the electricity purchase card without capacity ordinarily.   2) When inserting the electricity purchase card without capacity, it will show “F1” and “0, and then show the above 2-8 in turns.   3) When the user inserts the wrong card in the watt-hour meter, it will show “F1”, and then show “ ---------”, and then show the above 2~8 in turns.                                                           4) Only the capacity purchased represented by F1 displays for 3 seconds, other information display for 1 second. If not pulling out the card, it will display the value of the current load F8, which can supervise the load change of the user.   5) When there is one- or two-figure value following F1~F8, it means that the higher figure of the value followed. So various figure information can show 6 figures, for instance, the accumulated capacity consumption can display 999999kWh.   6) Use the user card with capacity can clear the maximum load in the meter.     5.3 Power off If the No. 4 figure of the watt-hour meter displays a flickering dash, it means that the watt-hour meter is in the status of power off, display the cause every 10 seconds. If the remaining capacity is less than Class 2 power off alarming capacity, display the cause every 2 seconds (at this time, there is no dash).   1. If displaying c000, it means the capacity purchased is used up, and needs to repurchase.   2. If displaying c001, it means that the remaining capacity in the meter is equal to the Class 2 power shortage alarming capacity, relay brakes, stop power supply. The alarming capacity is set by electricity sales department according to the situation. At this time, the user needs to insert the electricity purchase card to use up the remaining capacity, and this is called Class 2 alarming. It has Class 1 alarming function. Class 1 alarming capacity shall be more than Class 2 alarming capacity. When the remaining capacity is equal to Class 1 alarming capacity, the display displays the remaining capacity every 2 seconds until it is equal to Class 2 alarming capacity and relay brakes. If the user inserts the electricity purchase card with capacity (more than Class 1 alarming capacity), all will return to normal. If inserting the electricity purchase card without capacity, Class 2 alarming will not power off any more. These information is used to remind the user to purchase electricity as soon as possible to avoid any inconvenience. If displaying c002, it means that the user’s load exceeds the maximum load setting. The maximum load is set by the electricity sales department according to the situation If the user’s load exceeds the maximum load and cause braking of the watt-hour meter. The users need to reduce the load and insert the electricity purchase card to resume power supply.    Note: when the load is near to twice the maximum current, the watt-hour meter will cut off line, not calculating the value of over loading. If displaying c003, it means that the users hasn’t used electricity for consecutive 6 days (that is, the impulse light of the watt-hour meter doesn’t flash during this period), the watt-hour meter will automatically brake and power off, and wait for the user to insert the electricity purchase card to resume electricity consumption, but there must be electricity consumer to consume electricity within 24 hours after resuming power consumption. If still not using electricity within this 24 hours, the watt-hour meter will power off again, and the watt-hour meter will display c004. At this time, it is the professional from electricity sales department that can make the watt-hour meter resume power supply. This function is to prevent capacity miss counting and electricity stealing due to the user’s power supply line malfunction. If displaying c005, it means that the watt-hour meter will transfer from power off status to power supply status. If displaying c008, it means overvoltage protection, that is, the user’s entering line voltage is far more than the voltage of normal power supply, the meter power off to protect. After confirming the entering line voltage is normal, insert the electricity purchase card to return to normal. 5. 4 Breakdown If the No. 3 figure of the meter displays a flickering dash, it means that the watt-hour meter breaks down and display the cause every 10 seconds. There are mainly the following two.   1 If displaying c006, it means breakdown of the stored data 2 If displaying c007, it means breakdown of the relay. 3 If the above situation occurs, and it is the situation that is not covered by the instruction for use, the user shall inform the maintainer to deal with as soon as possible.     6. Installation   6.1 Before exiting the factory, the watt-hour meter shall pass the inspection and be labeled with seal, and then can be installed.   6.2   The watt-hour meter shall be installed indoor. The base plate or switch box to install the watt-hour meter shall be fixed on the firm fireproof wall. It is suggested that the installation height is about 1.8 meter and there is no corrosive gas in the air.   6.3   The watt-hour meter shall be connected according to the wiring diagram on the terminal box, it’s better to user copper line or copper joint.   6.4   The installation diagram and wiring diagram is seen is attached figures.     7. Transportation and storage   7.1 The transportation and unseal of the watt-hour meter shall not be affected with fierce shock. The watt-hour meter shall be transported and stored in accordance with GB/T15464-1995 General-purpose specification for the packaging of instrumentation products.   7.2   The storage of the watt-hour meter shall be in the original package. The environmental temperature is -40°C~60°C, the relative humidity shall not exceed 85%, and there is no corrosive gas in the air. 7.3   The watt-hour meter is stored in the warehouse, and shall be placed on the frame. The piling height shall not exceed 10 cartons. Unpacking the carton, the piling height of individual package shall not exceed 10 pieces.  The watt-hour meter whose individual package is opened can’t be stored.     8. After-sale service Since the date of exiting the factory, if the user abides by the transportation, storage, installation, and use requirement defined by the instruction for use, and the seal of the manufacturer is in good condition, if finding that the watt-hour meter doesn’t meet the requirement, the manufacturer shall give the watt-hour meter three years’ maintenance free of charge for three years.
