silicon carbide Description Green silicon carbide is produced in electric resistance furnace form quartz sand petroleum coke salt in high temperature.It is semi-transparent in green color with crystal structure, high hardness and strong cutting ability, stable chemical characteristics, good thermal conductivity.   Applications  1. It is suited for grinding hard, brittle and non-metallic such as cemented carbides,optical glass, ceramics etc. 2.As abrasive,silicon carbide can be used for abrasive tools, such as grinding wheel,oilstone,grinding,sand tile etc. 3.As metallurgical deoxidizer and high temperature resistance materials. 4.As the sngle crystal of high purity,silicon carbide can be used for manufacturing semiconductor,silicon carbide fiber. 5.Advanced refractory material, made from which,has thermal shock resistance,small volume,light weight and high strength and good energy saving effect. 6.In the aspect of mechanical processing,silicon carbide canbe used for cemented carbide cutting tools, tan tortoise plastron after processing can be used as refractory materials burn shed board.
