WHERE TO USE It is applicable to waterproofing and moisture proofing for roof and basement of industrial and civil buildings, bridges, car parks, swimming pools and tunnels, especially for buildings where is in ambient high temperature or strong sunlight. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIOIN Requirements of substrates The substrate must be smooth, clean, dry and with moisture content less than 9%. The surface of the substrate must be primed with compatible primer as instructed by manufacturer. It starts to carry out the installation after the primer becomes. It won’t be primed if cold adhere. The complicated shape with stress concentration and easy to happen leakage such as the aperture, hole, groove, tube and corner shall be waterproofed with reinforcement Sequence and direction of waterproofing membrane installation The installation sequence starts the high span followed by low span. The far starts first and is followed by the near if at the same height. The installed waterproofing membrane on the roof must be protected to prevent from damage caused by personals shifting the materials. In the same level, the installation starts at lower position, direction of which is parallel to roof ridge when slope of roof less then 3%. The direction of installation is parallel or perpendicular to roof ridge when slope of roof between 3% and 15%. It is perpendicular to roof ridge for slope of roof more than 15%. The lap joint follows the water flow direction when parallel to roof ridge. It shall pay attention to the direction of wind when perpendicular to roof ridge. Installation method 1. Torch-adhered: evenly heat the bottom of the waterproof membrane and substrate by torch or other heating devices until the surface of the bitumen starts melting and appears bright black. Progressively unroll the membrane while heating and press down with compression roller. Meanwhile, control the flame and velocity to keep the temperature of the bitumen between 200 °Cand 205 °C. Seal the lap joint with adhesive after the operation. 2.Cold –adhered: the cold adhesive such as high polymer modified bituminous adhesive or cold mastic is evenly applied to surface of substrate by rubber scrapper. Control the thickness of them. Unroll the waterproofing membrane while press down with compression roller to eliminate the air inside. The lap joint and end of the membrane is to be treated by torch adhere when ambient temperature below 15 °C Lap joint treatment Transverse and longitudinal widths of the lap joint are more than 100mm for long side lap of single layer waterproofing membrane. They shall be more than 80mm for long side lap of double layer waterproofing membrane. For the short side lap of single layer waterproofing membrane, transverse and longitudinal widths of the lap joint shall be more than 150mm. They shall be more than 100mm for the double layer waterproofing membrane. Meanwhile, it is evenly adhesive to avoid to miss melting and adhesive. A small amount of extra melt asphalt or cold glue should be extruded in strips. Inspection and acceptance Carry out careful inspection after construction to ensure that the waterproofing has no bubble, ripple, falling-off, serious peeling or other phenomenon, being smooth and beautiful to ensure excellent waterproofing effect. Packaging, transportation and storage notice Packed by plastic bag or carton Transportation and storage: Products in different types and specifications shall be separately transported and stored to avoid mixture. Avoid exposing to sunlight and rain. Only two layers are allowed and inclined or pressed products must be avoided while transportation. Cover them with rain cloth if necessary They shall be only stored in one layer. The ambient temperature of store must be less than 50 °C. Lifetime: one year since the manufacturing date under the proper storage and transportation condition.
