8501.6100 – ELECTRICITY GENERATOR ALONE and PTO GENERATOR Self-Regulated Three Phase Generator - COS φ = 1   • Self-excited, self-regulated generator by compensation system based on excitation winding, current transformer, and rectifier bridge.  • Exciting power in phase with the primary passes through the secondary winding of the current transformer and through the rectifier bridge to feed the field. • Load current generated in the primary passes through the primary of the transformer and releases excitation to keep output voltage constant (voltage variation ± 6%).
