Are printed tins safe for food? A: Tinplate is a steel plate coated with a fine layer of tin for protective purposes. Tinplate is a high quality safe packaging material for food items such as cookies, candies, chocolate, etc. A food grade lacquer is coated on the inside of the tin to prevent corrosion and interaction of the tin with the food product and thus make it suitable for food storage.Q: How do you print on the tins? Is it silk screened or offset printed? A: Metal decoration is an offset printing process utilizing CMYK colors. Printing is done on large metal sheet first, then slitting into smaller piece for stamping and formation. Q: Can I have a sample? A: Our product catalogues and samples are free for you. Please note that it is our policy that the receiver pays for the courier service. If it is convenient for your company, please confirm this with us and give us your company name, detailed address, zip code, telephone number, courier service account number (FedEx, UPS, DHL, TNT, etc.). We shall do our best to help you. Q: What artwork file formats are acceptable? A: Artwork designed using most popular software is acceptable. CorelDraw and Adobe Illustrator preferred. Freehand, Photoshop, etc. are also welcome. Q: Do you develop new moulds by yourselves? A: Most of all new moulds are produced by our own technical department, keep the fast processing time and low cost. Q: How to start? A: Contact Cherry Lee directly and inform us as more information as you can, pictures, size, printing, quantity, anything you have. Then we will figure out if there's existing molds in storage. You ONLY need to pay the express charges for getting several pieces existing samples. Or additional charges for several NEW printed samples with existing molds. Q: When will the boxes be shipped to you? A: Normally around 25 days after the deposit received and the sample get confirmed.
