Product description

Landscape Lights Professional is a great way to illuminate the look of your customers' property.
There are a bunch of different size and apparence fixtures to choose from depending on the application. Using functional fixture selection and placement, you can convert a dark and spooky landscape
into a safe and secure area that’s also pleasing to the eye.
One of the more common fixtures used in landscape lighting is the uplight, also named as accent light.
You know,  uplights can be utilized in a variety of scenarios to show features in a landscape, you will often find them illuminating trees.
In order to get the best results when uplighting a tree, there are a few things to take into account as you formulate your plan.
The first is the viewing angle. Determine if you’ll need to light the tree from one or multiple directions based on its location.
This will help you determine how many fixtures you will need to use.
Next, you’ll need to know the size and shape of the tree.
Is it a small newly planted tree?
Is it tall and narrow like a Palm?
Or is it a big old Oak that’s as wide as it is tall.
This information will help you choose the placement of the fixtures and how powerful they need to be.
It will also help you decide the best beam angle; narrow, broad, or wide.
Another consideration is the density of the canopy.
A dense canopy may only allow you to light it from the outside.
If it’s open enough for you to direct lights up through the boughs you can illuminate it from the inside-out creating more depth and drama.
Finally, consider future growth. Will you need to add additional lights down the road? If so you’ll want to purchase a transformer that can handle the increased load as new fixtures are added.
Once you’ve collected all of your data you can then determine which fixtures, lamps, and accessories to use. Here are some general guidelines that should help you with your selection. For trees that are up to 1 story in height you will need a LED fixture that puts out about 280 lumens. For trees between 1 and 2 stories high 380 lumens of power is needed. For trees that are over three stories, fixtures up to 1600 lumens are also available.
There are a variety of fixtures available that are well suited for uplighting trees. A few examples include the RSLED from FX, the Big Smokey from Advantage Light Source, Vistas GR-3106, and the BR series from Moon Visions. All of these fixtures are available in varying beam angles. They can also be fitted with specialty lens options and hex baffles to enhance performance and control glare.
It’s always a good idea to experiment by doing a demonstration.
Demos allow you to test different lumen outputs and beam angles until you achieve the desired results. With a little practice and a good eye you’ll soon be creating stunning nightscapes that will improve the safety and aesthetic beauty of any property.

Tips on choose spot light/ up light/ accent light landscape lighting:

How Many Lumens to Uplight a Tree?
Your lumen output will depend on the height of your trees. This is important because too high of output could cause a tree to look blown out and too low of output could prevent the viewer from seeing the tree’s details. We suggest following these guidelines:
For smaller trees up to 1 story or 6-10 feet, opt for 80-120 lumens. This level is the lowest lumen level and also works great for bushes and shrubs.
For medium-sized trees up to 2 stories, go with 140-180 lumens.
Larger trees up to 3 stories require 230-270 lumens.
And finally, tall trees up to 4 stories or 50-80 feet tall will benefit from a 350-1000 lumen output.
