Product description

Type BA is the result of the progressive development of a lip seal. It combines the advantages of highly elastic O-rings and wear resistance of lip seal materials. This special seal is mainly used in mobile equipment due to its special structure (fitted with O-rings). This O-ring guarantees the amount of preload of the sealing lip under low pressure or vacuum conditions, which is necessary for sealing performance. The sealing force is essentially independent of temperature changes, and the necessary amount of preload is guaranteed even if a certain degree of wear occurs. The lip is loaded by an increase in system pressure, which is transmitted to the lip through the compressively deformed O-ring.

When choosing a seal of a certain diameter, choose a seal with the largest possible cross-sectional area.

Mainly used for sealing plungers, piston rods, air drill multi-stage cylinders, forging presses and hydraulic equipment for traveling equipment.

Install:

These seals should have an axial clearance (see columns H and L in the table). To avoid damaging the sealing lip during installation, do not pull the seal over the sharp edge. Typically, this type of seal is usually fit into a closed groove. For extreme diameters and extreme cross sections, installation aids should be used when the structure does not permit open grooves.

Material:
