Carbon steel plate mainly refers to the steel whose carbon content is less than 2% and 11% and does not contain alloy elements intentionally added. Sometimes called plain carbon steel or carbon steel.
Carbon steel is also called carbon steel, which refers to iron carbon alloy with carbon content less than 2% and 11%. Carbon steel generally contains a small amount of silicon, manganese, sulfur and phosphorus in addition to carbon.
The steel plate materials can be classified into two categories: carbon steel and alloy steel, and can be subdivided into Hot Rolled Steel Plate、Cold Rolled Steel Sheet Coil、Wear Resistant Plate and etc.
Carbon steel plates are available in different grades depending on the carbon content and strength.
As the content of Carbon increase, the steel plate hardness increases.
Low carbon steel plate: For carbon content 0.06% to 0.25%, also we call it mild steel plate.
Medium carbon steel plate: C content from 0.25% to 0.55%.
