Boskon BG-526 recommends using four or eight new lithium AA (Energizer brand) or alkaline AA Batteries (NOTE: we don`t recommend Nimh rechargeable batteries, because the might have a shorter life span at low temperature), it`s also possible to use a lead-acid external battery cell with 6V output. when voltage is below 4 .5V, camera only taking daytime picture and video, night time will not work. when voltage is below 4V, camera will not work at all.
