  Double sided tape Scor tape alternative   How to Apply Glitter with Double Sided Tape   1. Decide how you want the glitter applied to the object. There are various possibilities: •Stripes, straight, wavy, curved or pinking edged; vertical, horizontal or diagonal    •Circles or dots (polka-dots)  •A cut-out design such as a cat, flower or cupcake  •Letters, etc.   2. Draw the shape on the tape if needed. Then cut out the shape, without removing the backing.   3. Clean the object to be used, if needed. Suitable objects for this method can be made from glass, wood, metal or plastic. Providing the surface is smooth enough, you can use such things as jars, wooden boxes, pencil holders, vases, windows, and so forth. •Just make sure that the surface area is clean and completely dry before proceeding; you may need to wash, wipe or vacuum it.   4. Peel off the back protective layer from the tape. Apply to the surface of the object. Take care to avoid making bubbles or dented edges.   5. Peel off the top protective layer from the tape. The adhesive is now ready to add glitter.   6. Sprinkle the glitter onto the adhesive. Do this over newspaper or a tray/container.   7. Tap the object gently to remove excess glitter. Excess glitter can be collected and reused.   8. Add a sealant if wished. This step is optional but be aware that sealant will help to keep the glitter in place and smooths out the look. It also helps to prevent the tape from peeling off.
