Product description
Food / Industrial Grade Chitosan Poly Glucosamine Chemical Raw Materials For Paper - making
Quick Detail:
Industrial Grade Chitosan is extracted from chitin, insoluble in water but soluble in dilute acid and absorbed by human body. As the first derivate, it's chemical constitution is macromolecule alkalescent polysaccharide polymer with cation. It has peculiar physical, chemical properties and bioactive function
Chitosan contains amido and carboxyl, and has excellent film forming performance.
Chitosan is a linetype substance of high molecular weight, and has enough bonding strength and linkage function among fibers
The molecular weight and chemical structure of chitosan is similar to that of fibrin. It shows positive electricity in water solution, with certain cation performance, excellent membrane forming performance, good penetration and stable water resistance.
Description:
Chitosan is extracted from crab shell or shrimp shell.
It is white or off-white amorphous translucent powder or small flake, and it is insoluble in water or alkali solution, but is soluble in most organic acid and part inorganic acid
General name: chitosan; deacetylated chitin; poly glucosamine; Kitosan
Scientific name: β-1,4-poly-D-glucosamine
Molecular formula : (C6H11NO4)n
CAS No. 9012-76-4
HS No. 2922 5000
Applications :
1. Chitosan contains amido and carboxyl, and has excellent film forming performance. Thus, it can be applied in water resistance of paper.
2. Chitosan is a linetype substance of high molecular weight, and has enough bonding strength and linkage function among fibers, so it can be used as intensifier and retention aid.
The molecular weight and chemical structure of chitosan is similar to that of fibrin. It shows positive electricity in water solution, with certain cation performance, excellent membrane forming performance, good penetration and stable water resistance. Chitosan suitable for sizing agent of paper.
3. Chitosan is also a kind of preservative in paper making industry.
4. Chitosan, compounded with glutin, polyol and polyacid etc.,can be produced into compound sizing agent. The special-purpose paper made with chitosan can be applied in offset printing, absorbing both water and ink.
5. Capacitor paper, treated with 0.3%-2% chitosan HAC solution, can greatly improve electrical resistivity.
6. At present the widest application of chitosan is intensifier and retention aid in paper making industry. Ideal intensifier should be of the following conditions:
① Of linear macro molecule, enabling the amido in close proximity to the fiber surface.
② Of comparatively large molecular mass and film forming capacity, enough fiber bonding strength and linking capacity among fibers.
③ There are many centers of positive charge and carboxyl on the molecular chain, convenient for electrostatic bonding.
