 The piston pin is a cylindrical pin mounted on the piston skirt. The center of it passes through the small head hole of the connecting rod to connect the piston and the connecting rod.

To reduce weight, piston pins are generally made of high quality alloy steel and hollow. General piston pin is divided into two, one is called full floating piston pin namely piston, connecting rod small head, piston pin three have relative motion and piston pin both ends by the stop ring limit of a kind of piston pin. The other is called the semi-floating piston pin, that is, the piston pin and the piston or the connecting rod end have a fixed connection at one point and a relative motion at the other.
