Tinplate is a kind of iron with a layer of tin coating on the surface
It is not easy to rust, also known as tin-plated iron
Was produced by iron plates dipping into the melted tin liquid
Tin is less active than ferrum, neither oxidated by the air nor reacting with water, therefore it has very strong anti-corrosive property
A thin layer of tin is a good protection to the iron sheet
However, once the coating have been destroyed, it would occurred electrochemical corrosion, and as ferrum is more active than tin, it would become the original battery anode to occur oxidation reaction then losing
The existence of tin will speed up the corrosion rate of iron
So tinplate is different from galvanized iron, it can only protect the iron when the coating is in good condition
Steel grade: MR and SPCC
Temper grades: T50, T52, T55, T57, T61, T65 and T70
