C5225 VTL Heavy Duty Double Column CNC Vertical Lathe   Machine Applications C5225 Double Column Vertical Lathe is one of my company's own developed vertical lathes, belonging to large universal metal~cutting processing equipment. The product uses advanced CAD computer~aided design techniques, in accordance with national, industry~related design and manufacture of acceptance standards. C5225 double~column vertical lathes specifics to large electrical motor industry, large pump valve type industries, transportation industry, as well as engineering machinery, defense industries of some 2.5m diameter large workpieces cylindrical~type parts, such as the motor shell, the pump valve shell, wheel hub, to conduct turning processes on end face, internal and external cylindrical surface, but also can use vertical tool carrier with spanning degrees (+/-30 degrees)for the internal and external cone turning processing needs. C5225 is a kind of double~column vertical lathe with lifting beam, using about 2 vertical tool rests to move on the beam; main movement adopts advanced stepless frequency control devices, feeding motion adopts servo~driven, transmission device is greatly simplified, easy and fast to operate, because the product structure is novel and style is unique, with a wide range of processing, good level of automation, stable quality, saving tooling, efficient production so that the machine has a high economic applicability, which has been welcomed by customers.     Detail Pictures     Machine Structure 1  Designing Layout of Double Column CNC Vertical Lathe This series machine is double column vertical lathe with mobile beams. Machine frame is mainly composed of the left and right columns, roof beams, work table, pedestal etc. to withstand cutting load. Beam moves along the rail on the column up and down, beam lifting motor and worm gear box are placed inside the top beam. Machine has the left and right vertical turret to realize horizontal and vertical moving feed, which can be used for rough or fine turning cylindrical, inner hole and end face of workpiece. 2  Characteristics of the Main Movement  2.1 Main Movement of the CNC Vertical Lathe The main movement adopts the advanced frequency control system driven by 55Kw variable~frequency motor, through the manual high~low gear shift, so that spindle obtains 2- 63 r / min stepless speed. 2.2 Table of the CNC Vertical Lathe Table is directly started and controlled by the main motor through the gearbox. Table’s main moving gearbox is fixed on the backside of the work table, work table just has the reversing rotation, but it can jog forward and reverse to facilitate the workpiece’s alignment. 2.3 Spindle of the CNC Vertical Lathe Spindle of worktable is equipped with two highprecision biserial short cylindrical roller bearings;the inner ring has the taper for adjusting the radial clearance, in order to ensure spindle’s stable working under high~precision. 2.4 Feeding Device of the CNC Vertical Lathe The left and right vertical turrets are fixed on the beam; turret realizes the horizontal and vertical working feed and fast moving by feeding boxes’ screw and light bar. 2.5 Ball Screw of the CNC Vertical Lathe Ball Screw is manufactured by well~known brand manufacturer Jining ball screw factory, bearings are produced by Harbin, ZWZ and LYC factories. 2.6 Hydraulic System of the CNC Vertical Lathe This machine adopts hydraulic system to realize the clamping and relaxing of beam clamping device as well as vertical turret ram’s balance, lubrication of table rail and spindle system, and thus first start oil pump when using machine.  2.7 Electrical System of the CNC Vertical Lathe The design of machine’s electrical system is rational, circuit layout is in order with good heat dissipation, and machine has a good grounding protection, overloading, overcurrent, short circuit protection and a series of multiple protections.  The main movement adopts advanced frequency control system; frequency spindle motor is driven by Japan's Mitsubishi transducer.
