More details of the vertical lathe C5116 series 1. Brief introduction The conventional single column vertical lathe model C5116 is a combination of modern advanced mechanics, electrics, hydraulics, etc. It features, High rigidity & stability Heavy load capability High cutting efficiency The machine is designed and built to meet modern machining requirements with high speed cutting tools and carbide cutters on workpieces of ferrous, non-ferrous and other materials. Functions: 1. I.D.& O.D. cylindrical turning 2. End-facing 3. I.D.& O.D. cone turning 4. Grooving Basing on its super rigid structure, big machining capacities, heavy table load capacity, stable structure and high machining efficiency, the machine has a wide application in, power generation heavy electrics hydro / steam turbine generators pump / valve industries foundry, casting, metallurgy ship building, heavy engineering, etc 2. Machine structure 2.1.Rigid structure The vertical lathe C5116 adopts a stable structure and is mainly composed of machine base, table, speed change gear box, column, cross beam, tool head, hydraulic power pack, and electric system. The column is connected to the machine base at the bottom so to form a rigid and stable structure that is qualified for heavy cutting. 2.2. Layout of components One AC main motor and a speed change gearbox are fitted at the back of machine to drive the table. The cross beam moves along guideways of the column. The tool head is seated on the guideways of cross beam that can move horizontally and vertically. The vertical tool head is composed of swiveling base & ram. Ram is quenched and precision ground and the jib strip is coated with wear-resistant industrial material and hand scraped. Centralized lubrication unit is used for lubrication of main drive system and guideways. 3. Castings Main bodies of the machine are made of high rigid resin sand castings with thermal / vibratory stress relief (VSR) aging treatment. Steel parts are thermal refined. resin sand casting high grade, high intensity and low stress thermal annealing treatment of casting aging treatment (thermal / vibratory) for stress relief of casting 4.
