Our complete product offering is used in fresh concrete, steel pan concrete filled, wood stairs, and renovation type applications.  Meishuo stair treads and nosings are SGS & ISO approved.    Stair Tread Project Example-Steps Stair nosings (also referred to as stair treads) are profiled strips of material that are fitted on the edge of steps, both indoor and outdoor.
Stair nosings should span the full width of the step and should provide an anti slip/grip function to step edges.
They are commonly manufactured from aluminium, aluminium oxide grain surface, rubber or fibre reinforced plastics.
Stair treads should also provide luminance contrast between step edge and surrounding step surfaces. This luminance assists with stair safety for those who are vision impaired, or in poor or low lighting situations.
Step nosings also assist in protecting step edges from damage.
Why do buildings need anti slip Stair Treads and Stair Nosings? The Building Code of Australia (BCA) and Australian Standards (AS1428.4) now require all new buildings to include slip-resistant stair treads. This is to provide save access and mobility to all users.
According to the Building Code of Australia and Disability Discrimination Act (DDA), it is also mandatory to provide a step insert depth between 50 and 75mm on all steps.

All tread should be swept with a broom or vacuumed with a heavy-duty commercial vacuum cleaner, at least once a week. 2. External Treads should be periodically scrubbed with a stiff bristled brush using any commercial all purpose cleaner and thoroughly rinsed with clean water after cleaning. 3. Minor traffic marks on aluminum can be cleared by using fine steel wool and commercial cleaning agent. 4. Oil and Grease from the stair treads can be removed by using soap and brush. Rinse with clean water after cleaning. 5. For removing snow and ice from external treads, use sodium chloride salt. 6. To remove chewing gum from all types of stair treads, use putty knife, wire brush, clean cloth, commercial cleaning liquid, sponge & clean water. First scrape off as much chewing gum as possible with putty knife, soak it with commercial cleaning liquid for stubborn chewing gums. Repeat the process several times until desired result is achieved. Scrub with wire brush and clean the tread using soap and water, finally sponge the tread and remove extra water from the tread.     Meishuo Stair Nosing products serve multiple purposes that improve the leading edge of stair treads. Our proprietary abrasive infill provides a long wearing slip resistant surface that retains its color and stays in-tact under deflection of heavy pedestrian loads. We have several designer colors that are integral throughout the abrasive material.     5 YEAR WARRANTY   Meishuo Products hereby warrants that its Stair Tread products will not crack or delaminate from its aluminum base for a period of one (5) year.   It is intended that Meishuo Stair Treads be installed properly to withstand the expected pedestrian traffic. Installation instructions are available on our website or can be provided upon your request. AMSTEP Stair Treads can be installed into concrete, wood or metal. AMSTEP Stair Treads are not intended for use as self-supporting treads.     This Warranty is not valid for failures resulting from:  Improper Installation of the Tread  Damage Caused by Vandalism or Such Similar Acts of Destruction  Damage Caused by Other Than Normal Pedestrian Traffic  Deterioration of the Substructure the Treads are Installed Upon    Meishu’s exclusive liability (including, but not limited to incidental or consequential damages) and the purchaser or owner’s sole remedy hereunder, shall be limited to the repair of the defective product, replacement of the defective product or a refund of the purchase price of the defective product. Choice of remedy will be solely at Meishuo’s option. All remedies and liabilities exclude costs of installation or removal. In the event of a claim under this Warranty, the owner shall demonstrate and document that the failure of the product was due to a breach of the warranty stated herein and must  be made in writing within ten (10) days of its discovery. Meishuo also reserves the right to investigate all complaints and review all relevant records regarding failure or breach of this Warranty. If failure is determined to be from sources other that the Amstep Stair as warranted herein, Meishuo has no further obligation.
