Application

ABC cable transmission line wire is used primarily for overhead secondary distribution lines.It is not an electrically insulated conductor and is treated as bare conductor when installed.

 

Duplex service drop

To supply 120 volt aerial service for temporary service at construction sites,outdoorr or street lighting.For service at 600 volts or lower ar a conductor temperature of 75 °Cmaximum.

 

 

Triplex service drop

To supply power from the utility’s lines to the consumer’s weatherhead.For service at 600 volts or less (pahse to phase) at a conductor temperature of 75°Cmaximum for polyethylene insulation or 90°C maximum for crosslinked insulation.

 

 

Quadruplex service drop

Used to supply 3 phase power,usually from a pole-mounted transformer,to the user’s service head where connection to the service entrance cable is made.To be used at voltage of 600 volts or less phase to phase and at conductor temperature no to exceed 75°C for polyethylene insulated conductor or 90°C for crosslinked polyethylene insulated conductors.

 

 

ABC cable meets the standard requirements of GB12527-90 or Q/SL109-2002.

ABC CABLE--Aerial Bundled Cable

 

Applications To supply 120 volt aerial service for temporary service at construction sites, outdoor or street lighting. For service at 600 volts or lower at a conductor temperature of 75°C maximum.
Construction Concentric strand or compressed 1350-H19 conductor, polyethylene or crosslinked polyethylene insulation, concentric strand AAC neutral messenger.

  • B-231 Aluminum Conductors, Concentric-Lay-Stranded.
  • B-232 Aluminum Conductors, Concentric-Lay-Stranded, Coated Steel Reinforced (ACSR).
  • B-399 Concentric-Lay_Stranded 6201-T81 Aluminum Alloy Conductors.
  • B498 Zinc-Coated Steel Core Wire for Aluminum Conductors, Steel Reinforced (ACSR).
  • Duplex Service Drop cable meets or exceeds all applicable requirements of ANSI/ICEA S-76-474.

 

 

 

Insulation:

pvc insulated power cable The insulation of standard wiring cables is PVC grade Type T1 1 of Bs 7655 Formerly BS 6746) suitable for a maximum continous conductor operating temperature of 70C

Where specifically required, wiring cables can be offered with heat resistance PVC insulated grade. Type 5 (85 cType T1 3 (90 c). These cables are identified by the grade of PVC.

 

Core Identification   Unless specially agreed otherwise, insullation colours are in accordance with BS 6004 specification as follows:

Single Core : Red, Black, Yellow, Blue, Green / Yellow
Two Core : Red and Black
Three Core : Red,Yellow and Blue
Four Core : Red, Yellow, Blue and Black
Five Core : Red, Yellow, Blue, Black and Green / Yellow

Finish:

1.5mm pvc insulated electric cable , both sheathed and unsheathed have a smooth finish and are countinously marked with by printing or embosing on the external surface.

Where a PVC sheath is required on wiring cable, it is extruded layer of PVC grade Type TM 1 or TM6, as applicable.

The PVC sheath colour of multi cable is grey, white or black and for single core cables it is black, brown, grey, red or white.

The above wiring cables conform to BS 6004 specification of PVC insulated cables (non-armoured) for electric power and lighting. The Cables also generally satisfy the Inernational Specification IEC 227 (6491 X only) and German standard VDE 0281 for "PVC Insulated Cables and cords rated voltage not exceeding 750V".
