1. Structure principle

Cantilever electro-slag welding machine is the main device in Box-beam welding production line. It is a special machine for welding the seams between baffle plate and bottom plate. There are two kinds of welding types for Box-beam baffle plate electro-slag welding: nozzle melt and wire melt.

Nozzle melt is a kind of electro-slag welding that melts the contact tube (nozzle) and welding wire together. The contact tube will stay while welding wire is fed when welding. Actually, contact tube comes to be a part of welding wire. Features for nozzle melt electro-slag welding:

● Electro-slag welding part has a simple structure. Its welding power often comes from our country, so the cost will be low.

● The contact tube will be melt with wire, so it is expendable, the cost will be high, and different sizes of Box-beam needs different contact tubes.

● Using φ2.4mm welding wire, welding speed is slower than wire melt type.
