A:The term Remy is considered the highest grade of natural human hair, with cuticles kept intact. The hair has been cut from a single donor, from root to end with the cuticles going in the same direction. All virgin hair is Remy, but not all Remy hair is virgin. Non-Virgin Remy hair has been usually processed, typically for texture or colour. The term Virgin refers to human hair which is in its original state without being permed, coloured or chemically processed in any way. The natural hair colour of Virgin hair ranges from very dark to medium brown in colour. Q2: How much hair do you need for a full head? A full head usually requires 8 oz. (200g) of hair. All our hair is sold in 4 oz. (100g) packages, therefore 2 packages are sufficient for a full weave. However, the quantity varies depending on the length and the fullness of the desired outcome. For more volume and a fuller look we recommend using 3 packages (300g) of hair.  Q3: How is the length measured? A: The straight textures are measured true to length. The wavy and curly textures are measured when the hair is pulled straight, therefore wavy and curly weaves tend to look shorter. Q4: Can the hair be curled or straightened? A: Since our hair is 100% real human hair, you can treat it as any natural hair. You can straighten or curl the hair as desired. Q5: Can the hair be coloured? A: Human hair extensions can be coloured, however it is not recommended to dye the previously processed and treated hair. The best hair types to colour is Brazilian Virgin or Mongolian, as it has not been previously processed. However, you should avoid bleaching the hair completely because harsh chemicals damage the hair. Q6: How long does the hair last? A: With proper installation and maintenance, our hair can possibly last anywhere from 1 to 2 years. However, it is important to keep in mind that dying and constant heat styling will shorten the lifespan of the hair. Also depending on the climate, water, products used, care for the hair, brushing, how it was applied, swimming, how often washed, etc. are all factors determining the actual lifetime of your hair. Due to all these factors we can give no guarantee of exactly how many months your hair will last.  Q7:How to take care of the hair? A: You should treat the hair like any natural hair. Use good quality shampoo and conditioning products.  You should wash your weave after every 7-10 days for it to remain flowy. When washing your hair, gently wash it in one direction, not in circles. It is important to condition the hair in order to keep it soft and manageable. Also a paddle brush is recommended for brushing the hair. Q8:How to maintain the hair at night? A: You should never go to sleep with wet hair because it will matte your hair. It is also recommended to wrap your hair together in order to avoid tangling.  Q9: Can I go swimming with the hair? A: You may go in swimming pools and hut-tubs but you must wash the hair immediately after swimming. If possible avoid swimming in salt water because salt absorbs the moisture out of the hair and will lead to tangling of the hair. We recommend you to add a spray in conditioner after swimming. Q10: What are the DO’s and DON’TS in maintaining the hair?
