There are some useful tips to avoid rust stainless steel and deal with steel with rust.   1.  Purchasers have to think about what kind of stainless steel material suits them needs best before ordering, for instance, 316 material must be your best choice for outdoor construction, equipments and ornaments in coast regions because of its high salt-spray resistance comparing to other stainless steel materials. 2.  Make sure stainless steel exists in neat, ventilated and dry environment which makes working life longer, and little rust spot should be processed in a timely manner. 3. Avoid detergent solution is left over on stainless steel and do not touch it with hands often.   Tips to clean rust. 1.  As for rust caused by iron powder or slight spotted rust, sponge or cloth  with neutral detergent or soap and water be used to wipe to remove rust  easily, then completely flush with clear water insure not keep cleaning  solution in it. This degree of rust removal, cleaning action should be taken  timely and effectively in case things get worse.   2.  In industrial area or prosperous city with crowed traffic, stainless steel  exterior is vulnerable to pollution to get rusted.  If serious rust happened, in such an environment, comprehensive cleaning work three times a year regularly is essential.  If serious rust happened, stainless steel cleaning fluid  or dilute nitric acid can clean it up, if these ways do not work, try sandpaper  to grind it, then washing with clean water.   3.  For rust caused by hands, if neutral detergent cannot remove it, sponge,  cloth with organic solvents, such as alcohol, light oil, might be good choice.    Attention: 1.  Before cleaning rust, do part wipe first to confirm the cleaning result, if  result is satisfactory, then wiping other parts rusted. At the same time,  you’d better clean the parts non-rusted to make sure surface gloss looks uniform. 2.  Washing stainless steel with clean water after using detergent. 3. Wiping stainless steel according to surface stripes.
