Gabion is composed of welded mesh panel and spring steel lacing wire.

Military Welded Mesh Gabion is the gabion which is welded by the square mesh, the diameter` thickness depends on the mesh size. The diameter is between 2.0mm to 4.0mm, if the material is zinc coated. While the diameter will be 3.0mm to 4.5mm if the material is PVC-coated. 

 Welded gabion is a cage made of welded wire.  The diameter to be 2.0mm-4.0mm, If use PVC coated wire, The OD to be 3.0-4.5mm, In recent years, an emerging zinc-aluminum alloy gabion basket which coated with zinc and aluminum and Mixed rare earth alloy, is more Corrosion resistance than welded gabion box.

Zinc coating of gabion mesh diveded into three types as below,

 electrical stone gabion: 15g~20g/m2

 hot-dipped stone gabion: 40-60g/m2 

High zinc stone gabion:240g/m2
