Product Description   [Main Structure and Property]: Absorptive gauze of oxidized regenerated cellulose is made from regenerated cellulose as raw material, to form a product after oxidation which can be degraded in the body with no residual material. The main ingredient is carboxy-methyl cellulose. It is white with a pale yellow cast and has a faint, caramel-like aroma. This product is applied to the surface of the wound, with hemostatic efficacy, while being absorbable and also has the effect of anti-adhesion during the surgery. [Principle of action]: The Gauze is highly carboxylated, being able to absorb erythrocytes, adhere to platelets and activate the clotting systems, thereby promoting hemostasis. After the Gauze has been saturated with blood, it swells into a brownish or black gelatinous mass which aids in the formation of a clot, thereby serving as a haemostatic adjunct in the control of local haemorrhage. The bleeding is usually stopped within minutes. Absorption depends upon several factors including the amount used, degree of saturation with blood, and the tissue bed.   hemostasis principle:

---form blood platelet thrombus   [Indication]: As a supporting hemostatic device, this product can be used for various surgical procedures. It is especially ideal for stop bleeding in capillary, vein and small arteries where can't be well controlled by traditional methods like ligation. At the same time it can be used to stop the bleeding instead of ordinary gauze during surgery, it will not only help to stop the bleeding, but also reduce the possibility of postoperative adhesions. [Methods of application]: Check the integrity of sterile container, do not use if the package is broken. Sterile technique should be observed in removing the Gauze from its sterile container. Minimal amounts of the products in appropriate size are laid on the bleeding site or held firmly against the tissues until haemostasis is obtained. The amount required depends on the nature and intensity of the hemorrhage to be stopped. [Precautions]: (1)    Sterile, for single use, recycle not permitted. (2)    Do not use if the package is broken. (3)    This product is a supporting material to conventional haemostasis methods; it cannot replace suture and ligature, etc. (4)    Closing the Gauze in a contaminated wound without drainage may lead to complications and should be avoid. (5)    This product has excellent water absorption, keep away from liquids before use. (6)     This product has a low pH; do not mix/use with enzyme based hemostatic agents. (7)    Do not remove the Gauze before bleeding completely stops. (8)    Remove any excess after haemostasis is achieved in order to minimize the possibility of foreign body reaction. (9)    In urological procedures, minimal amounts of the product should be used and must be exercised to prevent plugging of the urethra, ureter, or a catheter by dislodged portions of the product. (10)  Since absorption of the product could be prevented in chemically cauterized areas, its use should not be preceded by application of silver nitrate or any other escharotic chemicals. (11)Precautions should be taken in otorhinolaryngologic surgery to assure that none of the material is aspirated by the patient. [Contraindications]: (1)    The Gauze should not be used in bone defects. (2)    The Gauze should not be used in packing or wadding, unless it is to be removed after haemostasis is achieved. (3)    The Gauze should not be used to control haemorrhage from large arteries. (4)    The Gauze should not be used on non-haemorrhagic serous oozing surfaces, since body fluids other than whole blood. [Adverse reactions]: “Encapsulation” of fluid and foreign body reactions have been reported. There may be some “burning” and “stinging” sensations after the use of the products. Sneezing may happen when the product has been used in nasal operation.
