Its hydrolysis accelerates with an increasing temperature, so the injection solution should be made just before use. When a storage is needed, it can be kept in a refrigerator at 2-8°C for 7 days. In room temperature, the shelf life is 24-hour. (3) Pay special attention to interactions with other drugs and compatibility issues to avoid a loss of the drug’s efficacy. (4) There is 1.7ml (0.039g) of sodium ion per 1 million units of penicillin sodium (0.6g). A large dose may cause symptom of high blood sodium (potassium). Application on livestock having renal function impairment or cardiac insufficiency could cause adverse consequences. The adverse effects of potassium ion on heart are even worse. Withdrawal period: 14 days for cattle or swine; 60 hours for milk discarding. Specification: (1) 7g amoxicillin and 1.75g clavulanate, 50ml; (2) 14g amoxicillin and 3.5g clavulanate, 100ml.
